Creating a website
Creating a website and having your own website would be cool, right?
You can put whatever stuff you want there! Perhaps you think it sounds too complicated for someone who’s not a computer specialist. You don’t have to worry about such anymore.
Creating a website nowadays is as easy as learning your ABC’s and 123′s. There are websites all around that gives you a quick and simple guide on how to do so.
Where does creating a website start? First, you have to get your own domain name. A domain is simply what you type into the address bar (ex. http://www.bluehost.com). In order to get one, you simply go to a domain register such as GoDaddy.com , do a quick search for a name that you like, then pay a small fee (generally less than $10). This is needed in order for you to have all the rights of using that domain. You will be required to pay every year or two to keep the domain name.
Next, you have to select a web host and register an account afterwards. The web host is the company that will hold your website. Your web host is the company that “hosts” all of your pages and content such as your home page.
Designing the site comes afterwards. If you’re a pro, you can do all the coding and designing you want for yourself. For beginners, you can just get a template or complete website ready to add your details from template provider sites. After designing, you have to test whether your site works on all web surfers (Google Chrome, Safari, Internet Explorer, Mozilla Firefox). Some of your designs or pages may not be compatible on all browsers.
In order to earn money from your website, you can ask advertisers to place ads on your site or even sell links to other websites. In order to do really well, you will have to let others know about your site as well for popularity and earning purposes.
Now get out there and start creating a website!
